City Gardens

We are working with community partners to revitalize existing city garden sites, add city garden sites and provide learn-to-grow opportunities for Waterville residents.

Youth Engagement

We strive to empower our youth to use their voices for positive change within their communities. Our main focuses are including youth in city garden projects, increasing awareness of childhood hunger, and decreasing stigma around school meals.

One of our recent projects is the Edible Main Street box in Castonguay Square! The Maine SNAP-Ed Farmers Market Kids Club had a blast planting fresh veggies and herbs in this box that was generously donated by Steve Knight of Central Maine Gleaners Group! Take a stroll in Downtown Waterville and pick some kale, mint, basil, or chives to take home, and join us at the next Downtown Waterville Farmers Market for more fun activities!
